Choosing Wedding Jewelry

The wedding day is probably one of the most exciting moments in a girl’s life. It is important to her that she look beautiful and everything is perfect. It is really thrilling to find the gown and wedding jewelry to wear on her wedding day. The problem is that a lot of brides go over the top and the jewelry outshines her. You want to wear your jewelry, not have your jewelry wear you.

Here are a few tips to help you choose the right wedding jewelry for your big day:

The Wedding Ring

The wedding ring is the most important piece of jewelry on the wedding day. If you would like to wear other rings that is perfectly fine to do. However, be careful to choose what rings you wear. You want your wedding ring to be the centerpiece of your hand, and you don’t want other rings to overpower its importance. So, stick to rings that are elegant and simple.

Make sure it goes with your wedding gown

Once you’ve found your wedding ring and choose the other rings you will wear with it, it is time to pick the other pieces of wedding jewelry to wear. These pieces should complete to your finished look. Make sure that you choose jewelry that matches and will compliment your dress. Do not wear a white dress and add a pink purse as an accessory, that is just bride suicide. Once again, make sure the wedding jewelry doesn’t overpower you or that expensive gown you bought.

Skin tone and your hair color

You want to keep a neutral balance with your jewelry and your facial features. Keep things as simple as possible. Yellow shoes, red hair, and a white gown is not a good choice, and will frankly look horrible. If you get shoes with diamonds or crystals it can weaken the beauty of the dress. Once again you want to accent your wedding band- the symbol of your marriage and your wedding dress.

Keep a neutral standard.

You want to look striking, but don’t over-do it or under do it. You want your wedding jewelry to look good no matter what you are wearing. Pearls are great for any dress and add class without outshining you. They are elegant and pretty to wear on your special day.

Time of day and wedding jewelry

Your wedding jewelry can also depend on what time of day you are being married at. For those brides getting married during daylight hours, try not to get jewelry that is to flashy. It can be a little overpowering with all the lights hitting you. For brides getting married at night, adding some flashy pieces will actually add some stunning effects to you and your gown. But, that doesn’t mean go crazy with rhinestones or crystals.

Keep it safe with diamonds

If you still aren’t sure, just stick to a few simple diamonds. They will add a little bit of glamour but also be elegant. If you can’t afford diamonds go with Swarovski Crystals. They have the same effect but won’t cost you an arm or a leg.
